COMMENT ON THE CSR FROM MIKE BROGAN, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF PROCURE PLUS

George Osborne’s announcements in the CSR have left the social housing and welfare sector in ‘a spin’. As everyone scrambles to better understand the wider implications, one area in particular struck a chord with local regeneration consortia, Procure Plus.

Mike Brogan, chief executive at Procure Plus comments: “Procure Plus welcomes the Government’s initiatives to encourage 15-19 year-olds to stay in formal education through the increase in available places. However, as is widely recognised, continued structured schooling is not for everyone – so our question is, how is the Government going to tackle this?
