
North West social housing procurement consortium, Procure Plus, has helped Trafford Housing Trust implement a highly successful energy efficiency pilot project across its sheltered housing properties. Using the consortium’s brokerage and framework models, the housing association has established the innovative scheme, which looks set to save tenants around 20 per cent on their communal electric bill.
From the start, Procure Plus worked with Trafford Housing Trust to complete a comprehensive energy assessment on its stock to ensure the most appropriate solution was selected for the scheme. After receiving advice and support through the Procure Plus retrofit brokerage service, Trafford Housing Trust decided upon solar photovoltaics as the most effective option.
