Celebrating our range of Social Value activities throughout 2015: Day 10
Re:vision welcomes their first Flintshire trainees onto apprenticeships
Re:vision works in partnership with Procure Plus and its contractors to ensure that local people benefit from training opportunities which arise from all contracts, regardless of location. Flintshire County Council are new customers to Procure Plus, with their four year decent homes project commencing this year. We have been working with local training providers and the scheme contractors to identify local people who would benefit from our support in completing their apprenticeships. Tom Miller and Joe Collins are the first apprentices taken on for the Flintshire County Council scheme.
At interview Joe stated that he had applied for dozens of jobs without success, not even getting a reply. He was delighted to be given the opportunity to complete his apprenticeship locally through the Flintshire contract. Tom said “the toolkit that we have been given from Re:vision is fantastic and the support given by the team at Re:vision has been excellent”.
