Celebrating our range of Social Value activities throughout 2015: Day 8
Faramarz Jebbehdar was referred to Re:vision by Wythenshawe Community Housing Group. Having been unemployed for a number of years, he was finding it exceedingly tough to overcome barriers to employment.
Although he had a background in electrical engineering, Faramarz was keen to secure any employment, and was initially referred to us for a part time retail assistant role with a well-known high street discount store. Following our screening process, it became clear that Faramarz had so much more to offer.
Within a week, Re:vision, a subsidiary of Procure Plus, had secured Faramarz an interview with Hitchens Foods who had tasked us with finding them a full time machine technician for an unsociable shift – a tough call but we felt confident the right candidate was out there and that we would find them.
Two interviews later, Faramarz was offered the position and today is fully immersed in his training for a job role he never believed he would be able to secure and in which he is loving every minute. In his own words “this has changed my life and I have found an employer that I plan to stay with for the rest of my working career.”
