Fiona has been part of the Procure Plus team since July 2008. Prior to this, she worked in the police public protection unit before making the move to public sector change management where all of her roles have since been partnership and multi-agency focused.
In 2013, Fiona became lead for Service Quality, a role that not only facilitates Corporate Social Responsibility across the organisation – as well as with its partner consortia- but also looks at continuous improvement and customer satisfaction across the business.
Fiona is the lead on the ‘plus’ element of Procure Plus, meaning she is responsible for helping Registered Providers foster positive community relations in their neighbourhoods and manage their investment in community regeneration activities. In addition to this, Fiona supports work readiness enterprises within the local communities, ensuring that those who are furthest from the labour market receive the necessary support to enable them to enter the workplace.
Fiona helps to maximise training and employment opportunities for local people, from pre-recruitment training through to professional qualification. Where previously these opportunities have solely been within construction and housing, the team is now responsible for brokering employment opportunities across a wide variety of sectors.
In addition, Fiona works with the Procure Plus ‘Achieve’ programme, funded by the European Social Fund, to help members with providing jobs and work experience placements for ex-offenders, helping to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in local communities.
