Cumbria Cohesion is a group of registered providers in the North West, who in conjunction with Cumbria County Council, have been successful in securing over £7m of funding that will be used to improve efficiency, and reduce fuel bills to over 850 homes throughout Cumbria.
This work which will commence in late September 2011, consists of renewable energy solutions and improved insulation, the University of Cumbria will be carrying out monitoring and will publish detailed information on the results achieved.
It is anticipated that the project will provide opportunities for employment and training in the renewable sector throughout the North West.
The group will be sourcing materials through the Wolseley Group using the Procure Plus Framework. Any suppliers of internal or external insulation are encouraged to contact Steve Selfe (Steve.Selfe@wolseley.co.uk) for further information on this opportunity.
