Sense of Place

Do you have a strong sense of 'place' where you live?

Do you feel you belong in your own neighbourhood?

Do you regard it as a home?

Most of us like to think we have a strong affinity with our community and its unique qualities that help us not only live happily but also stay in an area. Neighbourhoods can be seen as an extension of our own personality. If your area does not reflect the person you are there is now a way to change that and help you feel more connected to the community and the environment.

Sense of Place

Every year Procure Plus allocates a significant portion of the cost savings from home refurbishments to a special fund we call Sense of Place.

Sense of Place helps pay for community projects that improve the neighbourhoods already undergoing regeneration.

Recent schemes include:

  • redeveloping communal gardens
  • building children's play facilities
  • landscaping derelict spaces
  • providing outdoor seating
  • improving access

Tenants have been actively involved in applying for funds and in the design of these projects, and in some cases have even helped carry out the work.

We will help fund projects that:

  •  go beyond the usual home maintenance
  •  are construction based
  •  offer noticeable benefits to the community
  •  fit with Procure Plus's regeneration aims

We welcome applications from tenants; for further information please contact:
