Working together to keep the North West plugged in
From generation to consumption, and reliability to sustainability; energy is a topic with a wide range of discussion points. At times we take it for granted, but delivering consistent electricity to homes across the country is a huge challenge in itself. To help tackle this challenge across the North West, Procure Plus has become a key stakeholder on Electricity North West’s Sustainability Advisory Panel.
Electricity North West (ENW) is the body responsible for operating and maintaining the region’s electricity distribution network. Covering a vast area from Macclesfield to Carlisle, and with distinct challenges in areas as diverse as Manchester and Windermere, there is plenty to consider to ensure power is there when it is needed.
Committed to meeting three times a year for the next three years, the Sustainability Advisory Panel is formed of individuals from a range of backgrounds, including local authorities, community energy projects and global engineering firms. Procure Plus joins them, bringing valued insights into both the procurement and social housing sectors, complementing the wide range of existing knowledge. The group will discuss issues facing their industries, and advise ENW in how it can help to meet the needs of their region.
