For this year’s away day event in September, Procure Plus chose to support a worthwhile project in the local community: Lark Hill Community Primary School in Salford.
And part of the Together Housing Group, we spent the day improving and developing the outdoor environment for the children, to enable them to expand on their outdoor education. A variety of projects were undertaken on the day which included replacing and lowering a decking area under a gazebo making it accessible, building a brand-new decking to accommodate a shaded seating area, erecting a large shed, repainting of the SEN office, wildflower planting and building bug hotels!
Several colleagues also spent time interacting and sharing their work experiences with some of the Year 6 children. Our very own PP catering team kept everyone fed and watered throughout the day with a fabulous buffet lunch, a selection of snacks and plenty of liquid refreshments.
