Procure Plus is proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Re:vision – its charitable arm dedicated to breaking down barriers to employment for people in some of the UK’s most deprived communities.
Since 2014, Re:vision has invested over £6.5 million to support grassroots organisations, fund vocational training, and help thousands of individuals build brighter futures. In the past year alone, funding of more than £600,000 supported 50 projects through 35 local delivery partners, including six new community organisations.
The charity’s targeted approach supports people facing the toughest challenges to employment, including care-experienced individuals, ex-offenders, people with disabilities, long-term unemployed, and young people at risk of becoming NEET (not in education, employment or training).
Over the last year, 320 people secured employment through Re:vision-backed programmes, with 86% remaining in work for at least six months. 96% of those supported came from priority groups.
Mary Quigg, Chair of Re:vision, said:
“As we look back over the last decade, I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together. The success stories that have emerged are a powerful reminder of the resilience and potential that exists within our communities.
“Re:vision was founded to give people a chance – and every day, we see what’s possible when the right support is in place.”
Over the last 12 months, Re:vision also expanded its focus to volunteering initiatives for people facing multiple and complex barriers to employment and continued to fund vital construction training courses in areas where no other provision was available.
These targeted interventions have enabled delivery partners to maintain strong links with local employers and prepare job seekers for sustainable careers.
Mike Brogan, CEO of Procure Plus, said:
“We set up Re:vision to ensure the communities we work in feel the benefit of our procurement and regeneration work in real and lasting ways. Ten years on, the impact has exceeded all expectations.
“We are incredibly proud of the difference Re:vision has made and continues to make by helping people to overcome barriers and access secure, fulfilling employment.
“Re:vision remains committed to its mission of empowering individuals and creating a fairer, more inclusive labour market.”
As the charity enters its second decade, it will continue to work closely with partners and communities to deliver even greater impact where it’s needed most.
