The King’s representative in Greater Manchester, Diane Hawkins presented Procure Plus with the Queens Award for Enterprise 2022 at an event held at the company’s Trafford headquarters.
The award is particularly significant, as Procure Plus became the only company in the UK to successfully retain the award in the Promoting Opportunity (through social mobility) category, after their win in 2017. Poignantly it is the last Queen’s Award to be presented before the title officially changes to the King’s Award.
The Award was handed to Procure Plus for their tireless work helping thousands of people from disadvantaged communities into sustainable and meaningful employment. The winners were personally approved by Her Majesty the Queen.
Between 2017 and 2022, Procure Plus supported 2,534 people into employment, with over 90% having considerable barriers to the labour market. To support employment sustainability, on-going support was provided which led over 87% of candidates remaining in work for longer than six months.
The prestigious award recognises the social value that forms a core part of the Procure Plus business model. The company continues to use the surplus that it generates to create thousands of employment opportunities for those in the greatest need.
