Procure Plus is a company with a real purpose. We reinvest our revenue from procurement activities into community regeneration through finding long term employment opportunities for local people. None of that would be possible without the systems we have developed. Our systems underpin the business, and you will have the opportunity to help us improve them.

We are looking for an experienced business analyst to join our small team of business analysts on a 9-month contract to cover maternity leave.

Purpose

You are required to support the business in delivering new and updated software solutions to the business by gathering, documenting and coordinating the delivery of requirements.

About the Role

As a Business Analyst, you will work as part of the systems team alongside developers and testers using an agile approach to sprint work with planning meetings, stand ups and retrospectives.  Alongside this, you will be expected to work on core analyst functions, such as requirements gathering, liaising with the business and then presenting requests to the development team.  You will also be involved in user testing or assisting the business in completing UAT ahead of releases.

We cover support for our inhouse systems, ensuring any bugs are logged and swiftly resolved by our developers.  There are third party systems that you will be supporting and reviewing user requests and queries, some of these are critical to our month end finance processes.  You will act as point of contact for third party systems which may need a bug or two triaged ahead of logging or managing change requests for these systems.  We also have some time sensitive processes that require you to be comfortable with SFTP processes, data analysis and feeding back errors to external parties ahead of invoicing schedules.

We would like you to have demonstrable experience as a business analyst working within a software development team, be comfortable translating business requirements into user stories or third-party feature requests and articulating technical conversations into business-friendly understandings.  You must be proactive in your approach to workloads and collaborate within the team to agree the final solution ensuring deadlines are met.

At present the role will be remote working but you will be required to work at our Old Trafford office in the future.
